I followed advice on this site for a Tuscany wine and dine at a castle (Barone Ricasoli). The sunset experience is not offered when we'll be there on 4/10. Any other recommendations? Any recommendations for a 1/2 day tour on Saturday, 4/11, of the area? Thank you Sue
Cafgtours have wine and dines in Tuscany including one in a castle. www.caftours.com/chianti-authentic-experience-with-wine-tasting-in-a-castle.html This is a good experience.
Hi,
I am also planning a trip to Florence but in May. I was looking at this half day tour of 2 wineries in Tuscany http://www.tuscanwinetime.com/ I haven't had any experience with the tour but they have a lot of positive reviews on Tripadvisor. FWIW, they also offer full day tours of Tuscany as well but I didn't really look at them.
There are so many tour options . . . I'm going to check out the 2 above. We are looking in to WALKABOUT FLORENCE. The website is easy to navigate . . . and they are #1 activity in Florence. I'm interested in seeing more options on this post.
I had an amazing wine tour with Alssandro Draghi, he is a sommelier, an authorized guide and owner of a farmhouse, where we slept, south of Siena, Agriturismo Il Molinello (www.molinello.com).
We visited a dairy near Florence that has also wine production (we had a tasting of cheeses and wines), then Castello della Paneretta in Greve in Chianti with wine tasting and light lunch.
The second day we went to an amazing winery in Montalcino (Nostra Vita) and then to Siena for a sienese cake production demo and then Alessandro organized for us an amazing dinner at Castello di Modanella with tasting of their wines.
we really had an unforgttable experience!
