We are looking for a suggestion for Siena accomodations for two..we will have a car so need parking AND we enjoy our wine with dinner so don't want to drive after. We would like at least 3 nights in Siena. Any ideas under 150E or so? Venere site had good feedback on Hotel Alex..but I was hoping for more recent reviews. Thanks.

We stayed at the Chiusarelli, which was a great location. (right next to the Il Campo area) We walked into a different restaurant every nite. It was close to everything, and the doubles were less than $125 E. Rooms were OK, breakfast was good. We made sure that we had a room in back.(too noisy in front) On our trip we DID NOT have a car, but our friends, who accompanied us on this trip, reported that they had a car on their previous stay. I think that you have to make arrangements for a car prior to your stay. We also found that they took their time responding to our initial inquiries. Make sure that you read the reviews in Trip Advisor. (Alos read the reviews re. the H. Alex!)The Chiusarelli hotel is not noted for happy, helping staff.......the location is the redeeming feature here. You will love Siena.....we can't wait to go back!
