Hubby and will be traveling from Siena to Sorrento in October. We already booked hotels and need advice on travel. Should we take the trains or drive? We can get the trains from Siena to Florence then on to Naples. But, we don't get into Naples in time to take the Circumvesuviana to Sorrento. Help! Not sure what to do now.

What source did you use for train timetables? You can leave Siena as late as 16:18, connect in Florence, and arrive in Naples at 21:05. You'll have plenty of time to catch the last Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento which leaves at 21:41. If you need to leave Siena later than 16:18, you can book a private car service from Naples to Sorrento.

Thanks Tim! I looked at Circumvesuviana timetable and didn't see anything later than the morning and we need to get to Sorrento before dark. Not sure what I did wrong. We'll be turning in our rental car in Siena and training to Naples then Sorrento and then on to Rome for a week. Appreciate your information and I'll look again.
