Siena to Mont Oliveto Abbey via public transporation

I'm probably grasping at straws here but we'll be in Siena for a week in May (our fifth trip there) and I've always wanted to see the Signorelli frescoes at the Abbey. I've been combing thought the Tra-in schedules but not finding anything. I've checked out some group wine tours but none of them appear to stop there. I saw a mention on another site of going to Buonconvento and taking a taxi to the Abbey but am wondering if that would be outrageously expensive.

We were there last May. We spent 5 days in Siena and instead of renting a car took two day tours with Roberto (Tours by Roberto) The second day was what he called the clay hills and we spent the morning at the Abbey and he provided all the explanation. He was an excellent guide. You should see if he has any openings during your time in Siena. I checked google maps for public transportation and didn't come up with very many options. Have fun.
