We will be staying in Siena for four nights in mid-October 2023. I have read Rick Steves and see that there are different passes to purchase for visiting the tourist sites. Do tickets or passes need to be purchased in advance or can we just buy them when we get there?

Last Spring we just bought them when we got there. The museum is awesome as is the tower / eave tour. We are older and not in great shape but it was sooooo worthwhile.
