Siena parking

I found the Siena very congested and parking difficult to find too. Best way to see the town is take a bus from Florence. They pickup on the block beside and behind the McDonalds Restaurant across the street from the side door or the Florence train station.

I've always been able to park in underground multi storey car park on the outskirts. Have you tried by the station?

Siena can indeed be very challenging to find parking. I've watched people circling the lots for half an hour or more just trying to find a spot, often with no success.

Are you refering to the train station? Haven't look there. Will try to arrive earlier tomorrow. Thank you for the advice.

A few years ago I enlarged the google map of Siena and studied the gates and roads leading to them. We were able to drive close and found street parking outside of the ZTL. Wish I could remember which gate it was?

Follow directions to the STADIO (stadium). Plenty parking there.

Like Roberto said.. Stadio had parking the day we went. But it is very tight!!!!

I agree with Roberto. Our hotel that we stayed in Siena while in RS Best of Italy tour over looked the STADIO and there was plenty of parking. It was a short walk to the center of the town.

Made it to Siena. Rain made the crowds light. What a beautiful place.

Is the parking at the Viale dello Stadio, Siena or Stadium "Artemio Franchi", Viale dei Mille?

We had no problem finding parking, even during the Palio. We parked in the stadium lot.
