Does anyone have the link for the local bus schedule from Siena to Montepulciano and Pienza?
Maggie - Looking at other buses on the extraurbana schedules, it's appears there are more options with a change en route. The 112 bus requires no changes.
Thanks Frank--- I'll check out the other routes.

Thanks for the info. It looks like there are no busses leaving for Pienza before 11am and nothing leaving back to Siena after 2:30---- am I reading that correctly?
I was hoping to make a day trip to Pienza but it seems like an awful lot of time on the bus for what would barely be a two hour visit to Pienza.
You could rent a car for the day in Siena and drive all over at your convenience. If you wish to do this, make sure that you have your International Drivers License that you can get from AAA for $15. It's the law in Italy.
Unfortunately car rental is not an option. In the Rick Steves Tuscany guide it sounded as though there was better bus transport between Siena and Montepluciano/Pienza
schedules change often you are very wise to be precise about schedules. we almost missed our bus (last bus) from Montepulciano to Siena at about 5:30 pm. A taxi would have cost us plenty.
Can you tell me if bus # 112 is available on Sundays. I don't understand the meaning of the crossed hammers symbol on the "frequenza" line of the schedule.
