Siena, italy

We are planning 4 night stay in Siena and would like to know of a nice, moderately price hotel within ciy walls. Would like to be able to walk around the town after we get back from daytrips to Lucca, Florence, Pisa, Arezzo, etc.
any suggestions would be appreciated.

Last year we stayed at the Palazzo Bruchi. Modest, perfectly clean, no real breakfast, excellently located a few short minutes from the Campo. We walked everywhere day or night.

Palazzo Bruchi. You mentioned no breakfast. on the website it mentions breakfast, confused.
How big is this Hotel. It only shows 3 rooms styles. we are looking for 1 double room and 2 rooms possible with twin bed. The locations looks great and just what we are looking for. Waiting on a price quote. Thanks for your suggestion.
If you have any others, feel free to pass them on.

Elizabeth, Check Alma Domus, we're going to stay there just for the difference experience. It's a hotel run by the Nuns, has quaint balconies, and fine views and the rooms are a steal.

There was no breakfast/sitting area or servers as is sometimes found. Rolls or Danish were cellophane wrapped, coffee/tea provided and access to a kitchen area for prep. Not a hotel, but rooms connected to an old palazzo. The owner was friendly and helpful but you get your keys and come and go on your own; we may have gone a few days without seeing her. We liked the place. We were there in Oct. 2009.
