Can anyone recommend a hotel in Siena with convenient parking nearby? We will be there in September - am considering Porta Romana but worry because there is no air conditioning. I'd like to keep it under $200 a night. Thank you!

How "nearby" does parking have to be? Are you willing to walk 10 minutes to/from the car park?
10 minutes walking, even more, is fine. I guess we are more worried about going to a hotel with limited spaces or on the street parking and not finding a place to park. We don't want to have to wander around in the car in the ZTL. But we'd love to find a hotel right in the city.
We stayed at a marvelous B&B, Antica Residenza Cicogna, and they rented us a space in a public garage for 10 euros per night. "Cicogna" is centrally located, a short walk from il Campo, and a block or two off the route for the passiegiata. The car park was a 10 minute walk away, toward the train station. No driving in ZTL required. Ask about the parking spot when you reserve.

I had read their great reviews on Trip Advisor (and we love staying at B&Bs), but was afraid to book because of my parking concerns. I just sent them a reservation request with a question about parking. Thank you for your help! This is our first trip to Italy and I was really grateful to get some advice from someone who has been there.
Try the Hotel Moderno in Siena. Rooms were basic but the location was at the foot of the big set of escalators that took you up to the historic area. I stayed there a few nights a few years ago and remember that they had a garage. I was not driving but remember talking with other guests who liked the convenience of the hotel's garage.
Antica Residenza Cicogna did not have availability for the time I needed in September. I'll take a look at Hotel Moderna. I also noticed that I can get a loft room at Palazzo Ravizza in my price range (only through the booking sites, not on their web site). Anyone know what their parking situation is like....I think they are inside the ZTL.
