Siena Help

Hi Everyone! I've been reading this site for months, planning the perfect trip to Italy, with all your help. So thank you! But unfortunately, I have slipped up... and was too slow in booking a hotel in Siena - we arrive November 4th. Albergo Bernini is booked! And I've just sent emails to Chiusarelli, Villa Liberty, and Cannon D'Oro. Still waiting on replies, but is there anywhere else I should check within those same prices? THANKS!

Our family thought the Rick recommended Alma Domus was a pretty cool place oozing with ancient character. It wasn't luxurious, but it had little iron baconies with breathtaking views, which more than made up for its austerity. And at 60 EUR a night, it was a fabulous bargain.

Liz, try Hotel Moderno. Only don't book a room at the hotel. The hotel has had AWFUL reviews. See if you can still get one of their apartments.

we stayed 4 nights at the Palazzo Bruchi B and B and they were wonderful! nice owners, clean and there is a communal kitchen which was nice as restaurant food is very expensive, we ate one meal a day in our room. they provide a breakfast tray in your room with an electric kettle and access to the frig. Camilla the daughter was so sweet and helpful. here is their contact info: Maria Cristina e Camilla Masignani B&B Palazzo Bruchi

We stayed at Palazzo Brucchi in Siena and it was fine. Nothing fancy but nice and very well located for walking around Siena. I believe it is within the same price range.

What about staying in a B&B? We stayed in B&B's during most of our 5 weeks in Italy last fall and found them to be great. Go to BBplanet.it and look around.
Ours was located about 1 mile from the city so we could take a shuttle bus closer then walked into the town center.

We stayed at Casa Antonella B&B right in the heart of Siena. Liked it very much. Beautiful room with balcony - we had a beautiful mural on the ceiling. Shared bath (no problem). Off-season rate was around 70 euro. Great breakfast. 4-floor walk-up. It's in Rick's book.
