How far in advance do you need to purchase tickets for the Duomo? We will be going in mid June. Thanks

I was there in August, 2022, and purchased the tickets the same morning that I wanted to go. I think I waited in a short line for just a few minutes, as I was there when the ticket office first opened.
A suggestion for exterior photos without other tourists: go first thing in the morning (maybe 7:30 or 8:00 a.m.) before all of the crowds arrive.

I was there in late June 2022. I waited in a short line to buy tickets. This was after lunch.
