Has anyone ever stayed in Florence and arranged a cooking class in Siena? We are looking for one that will pick us up/return us to Florence and that will allow some free time to see some of Siena.
Thanks.

I am going on a cooking and hiking tour in October. Its a week long, but I know that they also have shorter trips, and possibly just day trips. The website is activegourmetholidays.com.
Also, a friend forwarded me a website with all kinds of tours within Italy, and there were some day trips that were cooking classes. This website is http://www.italy.artviva.com/.
Hi Judy,
I took a great one-day class in Siena however I did not need transportation. I wouldn't hesitate to take a bus to Siena from Florence, though. See the following site: http://www.scuoladicucinadilella.net/
Good luck and have fun!

Hi,
It is not Sienna, (it's Chianti) but is otherwise exactly what you are looking for:

I am signed up for a September class. The program gets amazing reviews and is easy on the wallet. I think it is 60 euros/person for the 1/2 day cooking class. The group meets in Florence and a bus takes the group to a winery in Chianti Rufina for wine and olive oil tasting and tour, then the group goes on to make a pasta lunch.
