Siena-Bellinzona

Best way to get from Siena to Bellinzona on a Sunday? I am leavng Siena on Sunday, April 10 and don't leave Zurich until Tuesday, April 12. Thought I would go to Bellinzona and spend one night/day before I headed to Zurich on Monday evening in prep for Tuesday a.m. flight. Or is that too far...should I stop somewhere down the line?

For Siena > Bellinzona: http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/homepage_en.html For Bellinzona > Zurich: http://www.sbb.ch/en/ The first leg is approx. 6-7 hours long, depending on the train chosen; the second leg is 2-3 hours long, depending on the train chosen. EDIT: The two places in the first sentence below that look like a word is missing (I marked them with an asterisk) - it is. You'll have to figure it out; the website thinks I'm trying to type something else...:-( To know every stop on a particular train route - in case you want to know what your options are besides Bellinzona - click on the bubble under "*" on the far right of the train schedules, then click on "Details By *ion". THEN click on the bubble called "Info" to see EACH leg's stops (you have to do this for each leg). You may see somewhere else you'd rather stop along the way besides Bellinzona. All trains aren't necessarily taking the same exact routes, so check them all. Search the last few days' worth of posts concerning purchasing Italian train tickets - you can save some money by purchasing them in advance from home; you'd get an e-ticket.
