One of the best places we have stayed anywhere Antica Residenza Cicogna. Very convenient location, lovely rooms, great breakfast, sweet hosts. What more could you ask?

La Coperta Ricamata is very pleasant. It is a few blocks outside the oldest part of Siena and set back a bit from the street, so the location is quiet. It is within easy walking distance of the main bus station. The owner gave us terrific restaurant suggestions and sightseeing advice. If you are traveling by car, parking is not easily available. Check out the website or read the reviews on TripAdvisor.

We stayed at the B&B Duomo, right next to the Hotel Duomo mentioned in RS book. The B&B was extremely nice, clean, air -conditioned, and only a couple of blocks from the main sights. Hotel staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. B&B has only 8 rooms and you also have access to the kitchen area, which has a full sized refrige, ice, microwave, stove, cooking supplies, and dishes. We would definitely stay here again. Taxi to the train station was 15-20 minutes and around 10-12 euros.

I, also, would recommend the Albergo Bernini. You can't beat the view from their terrace and the prices are reasonable. Ask for a room with a bath. They have a couple but most share a hall bath. Very close to a bus stop and only steps from St. Catherines church. The street behind the hotel also contains two good restaurants.
