Siena....Alma Domus or Albergo Bernini?

I would like feedback from anyone who has stayed at either hotel in Siena... Thank you!

We stayed at Albergo Bernini, and loved it! Our room was spacious, and we enjoyed waking up in Siena. Everything that we wanted to see was within easy walking distance. My husband's favorite part was the scrambled eggs we had for breakfast! The breakfast terrace was lovely and had an amazing view.

Angelina, I've also stayed at Albergo Bernini and was VERY pleased not only with my room but also the breakfasts. Sitting up on the Patio in the morning sunshine enjoying the breakfast, the ambience and a large cup of coffee is one of my favourite memories. The Hotel has changed owners since I last stayed there, but I stopped by for a visit with the new owners not too long ago, and they seem equally as wonderful as the previous ones. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Happy travels!

Angelina, we've stayed at both many times. They are spartan, yet clean and comfortable. The Alma Domus feels more like a "hotel" to us due to it's size and has great views of the Duomo and city. The Albergo Bernini also has apartments (well, used to under the previous ownership) and we've stayed in those too... Both hotels are basic and close to each other. As Ken says, there are new owners at the Bernini and they did an excellent on our last trip through there. Siena is my wife's favorite area and we've often stopped just for a night heading back to Rome... These two inexpensive accommodations have been good for those type of journeys.
