We are spending 5 nights in Siena this coming September. We would like to do a day trip to the wine region. Any recommendations?

You might check the RS Italy guidebook to find local guides that can provide tours of wineries near Siena. If you plan on imbibing, that would be much preferable to driving yourself, given the strict impaired driving laws.

The Brunello Wine Tour through www.mytours.it. My hotel made the arrangements and it was a, nice small group. Our guide was Marco and he was wonderful! Made stops along the way so we could take pictures.
