We stayed there in February. Nice, clean room. Easy walk to the center of town. The employees are very nice and helpful. The restaurant had delicious food.

This place is no more than 10 minutes' walk to the main piazza; I don't know if that is central enough for you. It has a delightful, very helpful proprietor, and a light breakfast buffet set up every morning in the hallway outside your room. It is clean and quiet, set far back from a busy street.

When in Siena, I like to stay at Albergo Bernini. Very close to St. Catherine's church and a bus stop with a good restaurant on street behind it. I think it is in the rooster contrada. We have stayed there 3 times. Some rooms share a hall bath but you can ask for a room with a bath...which is what we have done. The view from their terrace, of the duomo and surrounding area, is wonderful.

Alma Domus is a place that I love! The price is right, the views are unbeatable, and it's a short walk to the city center.
