I am looking for recomendations for tour companies or guides in Sicily for summer of 2019. I will be taking my brother and my mother who is 81 years old. I am looking for a flexible private guide to hit highlights in Sicily. I have emailed two companies with no response, so I am a little frustrated. The guide must be willing to be flexible to our itinerary.

I travel independently so don't have a guide suggestion for you. However, having been in Sicily from June 16 to July 5, 2015, I want to warn you about the weather. You should expect it to be very hot.

I agree with acraven, check historical weather prior to planning your trip.
I spent most of the month of May in Sicily, and the weather was very pleasant at the beginning of my trip but then it became hot toward the end of my trip.
If possible, do consider traveling in the Spring; besides the weather, you’ll enjoy the beautiful wild flowers everywhere!

After reading several reviews of his services, I have arranged with Roberto Sapone to drive my sister and me for a long day in April 2019. This is part of his emailed response to me: "I'll be happy to chauffeur you and your sister from Agrigento to Siracusa visiting Roman Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina, Piazza Armerina historical center, Caltagirone and we can add Aidone Archeological Museum or another place that you like on the way to Siracusa if we have time." Roberto has been very responsive in his emails with me and, although certainly not inexpensive, is comparable in cost (or a bit less) to any other private driver/service that I contacted.
