What is the best way to travel from Palermo to Trapani? Thanks!

We took the train from the Palermo Palazzo Reale-Orleans station to Palermo airport, rented a car from Europcar, and drove to Trapani the way Google said to go ---- about an hour's drive once you have the car.

I am thinking you are asking for best mode of transportation so I will provide this info. If you are looking for best route, you have lots of choices as there are many interesting places between the two cities. Train takes two or three changes and takes several hours so that is out, at least from Palermo city. center. You can go by bus. It looks like Autolinee Segesta does that route for about 11 euros and it takes an hour and ten minutes or so. There is also a Flix bus that does that route for even cheaper. I have used Flix busses in several European countries. I have also used bus services in Sicily. All went well. Your other option is by private driver. There are many drivers listed online, or your hotel can give you a name or two, or I have used several drivers in Sicily that I could recommend. If you are planning to visit other areas such as Segesta, Erice, Castellammare del Golfo, Borgo Parini, the cave Sanctuary of Santa Rosalía or Monreale, you could hire a driver to pick you up in Palermo and take you to your several desired places and then drop you off in Trapani. Of course, this is your most expensive option but it is one that lets you see several places in one day tailored to your own interests and time frame.
