We're taking the RS tour beginning May 14 but will arrive a day and a half early. We're wondering if anyone has used the extra time in Palermo to take one of the bike tours around the city? Looks like they're pretty relaxed and do-able riding and only about 2-3 hours. Also considering the possibility of a cooking class? Thoughts appreciated! Thanks!

Haven’t taken the tour, but having walked all over Palermo a bike tour sounds like it would be enjoyable. The city center is mostly flat. The streets are good, often broad boulevards and/or pedestrianized. The RS tour actually spends very little time in Palermo, half a day is at Monreale, but the city is amazing imo. So, I would totally do this rather than a cooking class.
