Considering the 10-day Sicily tour. RS travelers, could you please name/comment on the hotels for this tour?

I have signed up for the May 20-29 Sicily tour. The only hotel we have been advised of at this point is the Palermo hotel - Hotel Tonic. I don't expect to have further information until about a month before the tour departs.

Peg, I'm also considering that tour, so will be interested to see the replies to this post. I probably won't be travelling until Fall though. Must get busy with my trip planning!

I took this tour in 2009 when it started in Taormina and ended in Palermo-the opposite of the direction today. All but one of our hotels was good. The one we stayed at in Cefalu had extremely small rooms, even for a RS hotel and the staff was very rude. I have taken 5 RS tours and can recommend all but two (the one in Cefalu and one in Mt St. Michel. Sicily is wonderful-prepare to enjoy yourself if you go. Our guide, Alfio, is still one of the best I've ever traveled with.
