Sicily to Salerno?

I know this is a rather broad question, but how complicated would it be to get from Sicily to Salerno? I know it depends on where in Sicily we are, but if there is a place that is easier than another, we can arrange our itinerary accordingly.
Thanks!

You can fly from Catania or Palermo to Napoli and take the train to Salerno. There are also buses and trains from Sicilia to Salerno, but that takes 7-10 hours, depending on your departure city. I usually fly Alitalia from Palermo or Catania to Napoli.

To add to Zoe's post, Catania (in the east) is the biggest and busiest airport in Sicily, followed by Palermo (northwest). Trapani (in the west) and Comiso (southeast) are not only substantially smaller, but don't have flights to Naples.

If you're flying Alitalia within Italy, look at the International version of their website as well as the US one. I found that the International site consistently had better prices. And book as soon as you know your itinerary, as the cheapest tickets sell out early.

I flew from Palermo to Napoli on Volotea, one hour flight, no problems. Fares are low, extremely low on certain days if booked well in advance. The carry-on weight limit is very low, so you'll need to plan to check a bag, fee is not bad if you pay for that when you book your flight.
