My will be in Sicily in first week of March week but we must return from Zurich. Exploring an options to ski at Matterhorn before heading up the Zurich. Debating:
Option 1 - Sicily to Zurich then two nights at Matterhorn, back to Zurich for our return flight
Option 2: Sicily to Turin to Matterhorn 2 nights then to Zurich as our final leg
Any other options that you can suggest? Thank you

I assume you will be skiing on the Swiss side. You can also fly into Milan, 3:30 drive or 4:00 train and bus to Zermatt, both may be faster than Turin to the Swiss side. If the Italian side, Turin is your best bet. One other choice to the Swiss side is Geneva. Also about 3:30 to Zermatt. All should have several discount airlines serving them.
