We are spending a week traveling in Sicily. I'd love some restaurant recommendations in Cefalu and Taormina - my homework assignments.
We were in Taormina, and there are many restaurants on the main street which are great and inexpensive, we usually jsut walked if we like the menu as most have the menus posted outside.
You will enjoy it is a beautiful place
Filomena is correct. We just wandered 'til we found a place we liked. The best places were always a block off the main street. We also used our Lonely Planet guidebook, and agreed with their picks in Taormina, and most other towns. We "won't leave home" wihout this guidebook
Look out for Cefalu........it can be a tourist trap!
Hi Paula. Boca restaurant in Taormina was wonderful. We ate there twice in four days. Also in Taormina, the best gelato in the world, on the main street.
You might also consider going to Siracusa. The old port (Orgeta?) Is very atmospheric and beautiful. Have a great trip.
Hi again Paula. I need to correct the spelling. The restaurant's name is Ristorante La Buca, Corso Umberto, 140. Phone/fax: 39 0942 24314. E-mail: [email protected]. My husband Googled Taormina restaurants and found photos and other great-looking restaurants. The fish and lamb or superb.
