We are hoping to stay in the Santa Catarina Villarmosa region while visiting SIcily. Although we know it is not a usual place to tour my husband's father grew up there so we would love to wonder the streets of his youth. Does anyone have a recommendation of where to stay while in that area? The options for lodging in that area are limited. For the rest of our trip I have booked small apartments as we are traveling with our two adult sons.On this leg of the trip we may need to be open to more options....hotels? B & B? ANy suggestions are appreciated. Or if anyone knows of a town very close we might be open to that as an option as well.

It's not a particularly touristy town, therefore choices are obviously limited. I found this, just 2.5 km out of town east of Santa Caterina. I think it's the only one around, otherwise the provincial capital cities of Caltanissetta or Enna are not too far:

I don't think they have a website. I looked into Google Street View and it looks nice an modern. Some Italian reviewer said the restaurant part of the hotel serves good pizza. you could actually use it as a base for visiting Caltanissetta, Enna and also the famous Piazza Armerina. They are all within 30 to 60 min. drive.
You must have a rental car for roaming around there. English is probably not spoken by many, so I hope your Italian husband learned some Italian (or at least Sicilian dialect) from his father. Kids in high school age or young people in general are probably more likely to speak at least some English.

Thanks Roberto! We have contacted the owner at Hotel 2000. He sent us pics and we have booked our rooms with him.
