Hi ! Im going to be renting a car in Sicily for 10 days. Does anyone have any suggestions on Rental Companies ? Ones to stay away from or ones that you prefer ? Thanks in Advance !

Hi!
We used Hertz and they were great. My husband is a long time Hertz Gold Member.
We have had great luck using them in Europe.

We used Rental Plus at the Catania airport two months ago. Our automatic car was a brand new Mercedes Benz small SUV. The price was really reasonable (six days with full insurance was 350 Euros) and their customer service was great. They spoke perfect English and even remembered me when I brought the car back.

Also recommend Hertz. In September, 2022, we picked up in Catania and dropped off in Palermo. Car, pickup and return were all great.

When we were there we used Avis. We picked up and dropped off in Catania. The past couple years I’ve been using mostly Enterprise as it is generally less expensive than Avis.

I use www.AutoEurope.com, a consolidator founded in Germany but now based in Portland, Maine.
Also check their other websites (www.AutoEurope.eu and www.Kemwel.com) as prices differ.
They offer deals with the major rental companies (Hertz, Europcar, Avis-Budget, etc.). For Sicily I’m sure they would have deals with Sicily By Car, a major Italian rental car company founded in Sicily. They are also very reliable and have good reputation (I rented with them in Sicily).
