I will be travelling the southeast portion of Sicily in October and I am looking for recommendations for restaurants and interesting sights in Ragusa, Modica, Noto and Caltagirone. We will have a rental car.
Get a reservation for Manna in Noto, a fabulous dining experience! Worth the trip to Noto. Also open for lunch.
In Ragusa I really enjoyed my meal at Ristorante Ai Lumi. It's on Via XXV Aprile in the old town, just down the street from the old duomo.
I used the Lonely Planet book and was happy with the results (I can't recall all the actual names though). There was one really outstanding pastry place in Noto - "Caffè Sicilia" - on the main pedestrian drag (I was able to find by Google).
Maybe this article will also help?

You can watch a video about Caffe Sicilia on Netflix on Chef’s Table. Pastry, Corrado Assenza. Interesting.
