My husband & I are looking for places to stay near Cefalu, Siracusa & Agrigento for appx 1 week each. We plan on taking day trips from each area. Any suggestions? Prices are higher than we expected, so we're hoping you can suggest medium rate places.

In Cefalu (my favorite place in Sicily) I stay at La Giara Via Veterani, 40, 90015 Cefalu, Sicily, Italy There is a review of it and detailed info on TripAdvisor. I found the location perfect and price was great. There are many wonderful restaurants in Cefalu also
(but sorry I can't remember the names of them)

A wonderful B&B in Ortigia/Siracusa is La Corte degli Angeli, full of wonderful antiques and beautifully furnished rooms.lacortedegliangeli.com
In Agrigento, on the outskirts actually but with parking, we stayed at Hotel Agrakas, which has a really fine restaurant

A very nice agriturismo near Siracusa is the Limoneto. We stayed there several years ago and enjoyed it very much. It was not expensive and we enjoyed the quiet and calm after a day of sightseeing in Siracusa, plus they served a nice meal so we didn't have to find a restaurant if we were tired.
