My wife and I will be arriving n Modica on 2 August from Taormina and then departing Modica for Siracuse on Easter Monday 6 August 2026. We also want to do separate day trips to Ragusa and Noto on the Holy Thursday and Good Friday. All travel by public transport (we don't want to hire cars). Is this achievable considering reduced holiday services, and what are the logistics of all travel on said dates please? Should we have a fall-back public transport options particularly for Easter Monday? Or should we shift our Modica stay to arrive Good Fri, depart Tues 7th as a safety net? No real knowledge, but one year in Sicily, we were in Caltagirone (population more than 30,000) and had to stay an extra day there because was nothing moving on Easter Monday. Hopefully someone will know how to research this.
