Sicily Lovers: Lipari or Marettimo or ???

For my dear lovers of all things Sicily:
Aeolian islands? Which?
Marettimo?
Other?
I’ll be in Sicily 3 weeks.
My third 3-week Sicily trip.
I am an immersion traveler - I choose an area and breath deeply.
For those similarly inclined - where did you find your joy exploring glorious Sicily.

Angelina,
I enjoyed my 3 nights in Lipari and wished I’d have spent more time there.

Enjoy your time in beautiful Sicily!

Edited to add...

Angelina,
I’m curious... Where have you traveled to on your previous two trips to Sicilia?
What places have become your favorites?

My favorite places in Sicilia are Ortigia and Lipari thus far. One of these days I’d love to return and explore a bit more 😉

We have not been to Marettimo but we loved Lipari. We stayed for 5 nights, in the same hotel (Residence Acanto) and same room (Malva 103) as Priscilla later stayed. Absolutely perfect. Great location in Lipari. Great breakfasts. Wonderful sunny room with clothesline on the balcony. Charming, helpful owner. We could have happily stayed for weeks.

Ortigia is another of our favorites in Sicily. If you haven't already been there, you definitely should go. This is another place we could easily spend a week or two.

If you don't mind driving for part of your trip, I'd also recommend Scopello. There's not much in Scopello itself but it's a lovely base for day trips around the area. We stayed in the tiny, scenic B&B Talia right in town, and had wonderful meals at Bar Nettuno. Good food, good service, and -- what we appreciated most -- they open around 10 am and close around midnight, and stay open the whole time in between. No closing for siesta. So whenever you are hungry, you can eat. We loved that. And, you can order anything you want from any of their menus, any time of day. On our arrival day from Palermo, still recuperating from food poisoning, we wanted (and got) omelettes for dinner. They were as delicious, to us, as the fabulous grouper with broccoli pesto we enjoyed on our last night there.
