My husband and I will be flying from Rome to Palermo or Catania Oct 8. Our flight into Rome arrives at 11:55 am on Oct. 8. We will be renting a car. We have 20 days for Sicily and we were thinking about Malta for a few days. We are interested in hiking, wine tastings, exploring the towns, ruins, but not interested in beaches. Any suggestion on itinerary would be appreciated.
