ciao
I am on a search for a months stay in south-east Sicily. It's a bit overwhelming on line--
We would like to have a place to enjoy the area for a few weeks. any input on reviews from Sicily travelers.
When I find "the perfect" place the reviews are Ok and than there are the ones that say "don't book" with horrible reviews.
this is travel for the coming fall, -a place to relax-come and go and tour around. any one stay at a "farm house"?
thanks annie
Some years ago I enjoyed my stay at the farm house (agriturismo) below.
Great beach, great food, great accommodations. You will need a car.
Having said that I am not the type to stay put in one place for a whole month, no matter how great. I can only do that in Florence or the town in Tuscany where I have a country house, because I have family and friends there.

PS: it’s “La dolce Vita”. The noun “vita” (life) is feminine, therefore it requires the feminine article “La” rather than the masculine “IL”.
Have you looked at Ortygia? It's an island just off of Syracusa (connected by walkable bridge). From there it is fairly easy to get to towns like Noto, visits archeological sites in Syracusa (and Ortygia has some too). The people have really made Ortygia a welcoming place for visitors. A few weeks in Ortygia, as a homebase, would work for me just fine!
