Sicily in 11 Days Tour November 24- weather and safety and excellent restaurants questions

Hi all,

My husband and I will be traveling with RS on his "Sicily in 11 Days Tour "on November 24 to Dec 4 Sicily.
WEATHER-If you have travelled during that time I was wondering if I will need a light down coat or if a denim jacket and a light sweater will do? Maybe just long sleeve shirt? Because most of the towns we are visiting are near the water, I was wondering if they will be colder. I read past trips and scrapbooks on this trip for answers but nobody discussed the weather.
SAFETY-Could I avoid taking an anti thift purse? Shall I be concern about pickpocketing?
EXCELLENT RESTAURANTS- We have free afternoons and evenings through out the trip and wonder if you have some excellent restaurant recommendations. We love great food, it could be fancy or not.
Thank you all!

Ortigia restaurants- Locanda del Collegio,
and Regina Lucia. We spent a week on Ortigia a few years ago, loved it all!
I have never owned an anti- theft purse nor been pickpocketed in years and years of worldwide travel.
My husband fought off a pickpocketer in Barcelona one time, that’s it for us.

Pickpockets exist everywhere, so there always a chance you could become a victim. Do everything you can to minimize the risk and be aware of your surroundings and those around you. The risk is greater in crowds.

My wife was pickpocketed at the entrance to St. Peter’s Basilica because she let her guard down. The loss was rather insignificant but it was eye opening for her.

I spent the last week in November in western Sicily in 2022 and am sorry to report that the weather was rainy and grey and the wind was relentless. Late fall is often rainy throughout Italy, but the wind off the water added another level of discomfort. Trapani reminded me of a New England beach town in the off-season and many things were closed. I would definitely pack a water-repellant jacket. I took an ordinary bag and had no concerns about pickpockets.

Thank you @mml for the restaurants and @ponygirl 813 for thr weather advice. I looked at november 2022 and the weather was high of 59-61 to a low of 59-55 that could be chilly. I'll bring a light down jacket : )
