There's a rumor that one is in the works. Don't be afraid to use other books - Lonely Planet worked out very well for me. See what's available at your local library first.

Rough Guide is another good one.

We have seen posts here from Rick's staff that he is working on a Sicily guidebook, but there is nothing official yet.

As for why there is nothing about Sicily (or, for that matter, many other parts of the country) in his Italy book: his staff has posted here that his publisher has given Rick a firm rule. No more pages can be added to the Italy book - at all. So, in order to add a destination, like Sicily, he would have to take something out, which he won't be doing.

A lot of us like the idea of splitting Italy into two books, north and south, with Rome in both books. But for now, it's just our idea.
