Hello! I just got married and my new husband and I are leaving in a few days for our honeymoon to Italy for two weeks! We will be making many stops including Palremo for 2 days and Taoromina for 4 days. We would like some relax time maybe on the beach and Taormina, but what are the other sites we much see in each area? Are there any tours that we should book ahead of time. We will be there June 1st through the 6th leaving Taoromina to go to Rome. All suggestions welcome!

Agrigento, which has a beach not far away. The beach at Taormina is rocky/pebbly.
Cefalu is near Palermo and has good beaches.
Siracusa is one of my favorites. Not much of a beach, though.
But a week is not a lot of time for Sicilia.

How are you getting from Palermo to Taormina? That would help determine what your sightseeing would encompass.
I would opt for your beach time in Taormina since you will be there longer. There are restaurants and services on the beach.
On the eastern side, Mt. Etna is the most obvious site. There are also several wineries on Etna that offer tastings and meals.
Also Savoca (of Godfather fame), Castelmola (above Taormina). Taormina itself!
