We are planning our trip to Sicily and would like to hit some festivals. In general which month would be better in Sicily, May or Sept? Just beginning plan and will be using public transportation. Ideally we would like to start in Messina and end in Palermo, having around 2 weeks. Maybe spending 3 nights per town with possible day trips to nearby. Oh one more question, any information on"Carnivals Di Acireale"? Thanks for any suggestions, Jo

Some smaller towns may not be listed, you could ask your hotel or search with words like "festival" or "sagar" and Sicily.
