Sicily drinking water?

I was just wondering if it's safe to drink the water in Sicily? I know that Rome and North of it is usually safe, but I don't know about Sicily or Southern Italy like, Naples? Does anyone know of the top of their head or from experience? Or is it different for everyone? Thanks!

We were in Sicily in 05 and had NO problems with any of the water. it's not a 3rd world country (or Mexico!)..it's still Italy. I even had to fill a water bottle (we were on a bike trip) in the middle of no where...I did check, and didn't see a sign warning me off, so I filled the bottle and drank - no issues.

As long as you don't see a sign that says "Non potable" you are OK!

Enjoy - Sicily is amazing!

We were in Sicily for a week this summer. The water is safe, the pizza is great as is all the seafood. The wine is good (nothing approaches the Tuscan wines but definitely try the Sicilians). The main road is amazing - very new, very fast, very easy. The greek ruins are fabulous (but I've never been to Greece). The people are lovely - we had the best time.

We drink bottled water everywhere. Only because hubby has a sensitive stomach!
