Does anyone have a recommended 1 day tour ( or 1/2 day ) out of Taormina to Mt Etna and the vineyards? We are traveling in early August and looking forward to wine tasting at local vineyards and general tour of Mt. Etna.

I used: legendofsicily.com We liked them so much on our first trip we returned and used them again. Very Clean Car, knowledgeable guide -- who spoke PERFECT English, very funny. We visited Gambino Vineyard which was awesome!!!
and went to Mt. Etna. Absolutely loved these people -- enough to return a second time! They are based out of Taormina.
The guide, Ignazio is a wine expert, and has a great sense of humor!

The brother, Claudio Puglisi, books Ignazio via legendofsicily.com! I hope you let me know if you love him as much as both groups of friends that we took there did! Have a great time, and I wish this 'Donna' could get in your suitcase. I absolutely love Sicily, and Gambino Vineyard was one of the absolute highlights. The family is awesome, and they have a Facebook page: gambinovini.
