We are planning to be in Syracuse this June and wanted to make a day trip to Ragusa. To make it easy does anyone know of a good car service that will pick us up from our hotel in Syracuse for a drive to Ragusa? Will the driver wait there while we visit the town and return us latter r in the day to Styracuse? If you could share any contact information that would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone has traveled to Ragusa using a car service please let me know of your experience. Thank you.
I'm not answering your question directly since I didn't use a car service, but I just wanted to point out that taking the train was cheap and easy. It took about 2 hours. It is a regional train though that makes local stops, so it's not too spiffy, but it does the job. It was a great chance to chat with a local (some knowledge of Italian is necessary because older Sicilians don't speak English).
I'd also recommend Noto which is a very quick one hour bus ride away. Great way to spend a 1/2 day.
We used Sicily Life for private transfers. They also offer tours.
We used Chiarra Rozzi for a private day tour from Taormina. She picked us up in her new SUV and toured us around Siracusa and Catania. She'll design a day to cover whatever you're interested in. She's extremely nice and fun, low key enough that you're not overwhelmed with information and a perfect day guide. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187892-d2339490-r225900857-Taormina_Tourist_Service_Tours-Taormina_Province_of_Messina_Sicily.html#REVIEWS
Thank you all for your feedback. Much appreciated.
