Sicily bus Trapani- Enna - Piazza Armenia

Greetings. We are looking for a bus that goes from Trapani to Enna.
After a day or two, we hope to take a bus from Enna to Piazza Armenia.

Is anyone aware of public transportation for the above?

Thank you

Having been to Enna, it doesn't strike me as a commute or tour bus friendly location, assuming you are staying all the way up the mountain. It's a nice little place, with some fantastic views. Hope you can make it work.

There are SAIS buses from Palermo to Enna; they take about 90 minutes. I think your best option is to take a Segesta Autolinee bus from Trapani to Palermo (much faster than the convoluted train route), then transfer to an SAIS bus there.

SAIS also runs buses between Enna and Piazza Armerina. You might check Etna Trasporti as well; it might be a second option on that route.

Beware: In my experience very few inter-city buses operate on Sunday. Be sure you don't plan to travel that day. Be careful when reviewing bus schedules; the footnotes are key. Service can be quite different on Mon-Fri vs. Sat. Things can also be different outside the school year. My philosophy concerning bus schedules in less-developed areas is not to believe a bus really exists until I've seen the schedule posted at the bus station (or bus stop, because there will rarely be an actual station in Sicily). The definitely-second-best option is to inquire at the local tourist office. In the past they could often provide a printed copy of the schedule.

Thank you. I see that the Sais Autolinee has 3 buses from Enna to Catania on a Sunday 3 weeks from now. Are you suggesting that I shouldn't believe that? Serious question! :-)

I don't want to be caught stuck in a small town!

It sounds like there is Sunday service on that route. My trip to Sicily was in 2015, and things may have changed--or perhaps I'm remembering the situation on different routes.

The only serious bus problem I've had in Europe (and I've been on a lot of European buses) was in Spain, in Catalunya. It was a Sunday and the only bus scheduled that day from Ripoll to Girona simply did not show up.

Thank you. Yeah 10 years is a long time ago.
I'm comfortable with traveling in Sicily on Sunday.

In case anyone is interested, there's a Flixbus from Trapani to Enna. It stops in Enna Bassa.
