(Sicily) bus between Catania and Ragusa

hi all,

I am planning a trip to Sicily, and having difficulty finding public transportation information. (unfortunately, renting a car is not an option).

from google map information it seems there are no bus services from Catania to Ragusa on certain days of the week. is this true?
if I plan to go from Catania to Ragusa on a friday, what would be the best way? trains seem to take too long.

the itinerary planned for Sicily is Catania-Ragusa-Modica-Siracusa-Catania in about 5 days.
alternatively the itinerary can be reversed. starting from Catania-Siracusa ..

There is bus service from Catania Airport, you shouldn't have any issues catching a bus. The website may be a little clunky (the date field sometimes doesn't load properly and shows up as "NANA...") but it should work after a few tries (look up Aeroporto Catania if you cannot get the site to translate to English):

In worst case, just walk over to the bus station right outside the airport and you'll see the bus kiosk with all the schedules, including Ragusa. I took a bus to Siracusa only, as that was my base. Then from Siracusa, I took a train to Ragusa a few days later (it took approx. 2 hours or so).
