Sicily: Biking on Favignana or hiking in the Zingaro Nature Reserve?

We're going to be in western Sicily for three days this May and I'd like do something that's going to give us a full day out in nature (we'll already have seen Segesta, Erice, Selenute and the salt pans south of Trapani by that point). Two ideas that I'm tossing about is biking on the island of Favignana or hiking in the Zingaro Nature Reserve. We're not beach people per se, but seeing/photographing beautiful vistas (ie we'd rather see and experience than lay out on a beach). I'd love to hear from someone thats been to both places or has good knowledge of the area. Thanks!

As stated in my answer to your other post, I think you can do both, incorporating the Nature Reserve on the same day as Erice and Segesta. It'll be a busy day, but then you can take it a little easier the next day, with a full day on Favignana.

Very dry areas with no trees. They remind me of Southern California Coast.
I’ve hiked the Zingaro Reserve. Also in May. It’s like 5 Terre with zero shade only brush, rocks, and bushes. Very hot and it was only the end of May. Great coves for swimming though. Not beaches however. Small rocky, cliffs etc with rocks and pebbles. The water is gorgeous. Aqua shoes are an absolute must.
Never biked anywhere down there. Have not been to Favignana but I know from friends it also has great water for scuba diving and snorkeling. It’s also rocky with mostly cliffs and pebbles.

We went to Zingaro some years ago and found it a little hot and cramped (end May) a lot of people and not much space. The beaches are really tiny.
Favignana is beautiful and perhaps not as crowded, but this is just my impression, I hope other people will reply . Here's some info about Favignana
