Visiting Sicily in early September ‘18.
Looking for suggestions in the Ragusa, Modica, Noto area. Accommodations, what to see, how much time at each town, safety etc. ? My husband and I will be driving. Have already visited other areas in Sicily.

I would base myself in Ragusa for 3 days with side trips to Modica, Noto and Scicli. Here's the hotel the tour stayed at last November. Very nice, rustic, good restaurant.

We have also stayed at the Hotel dell'Orologio in Ragusa. When we were there (April 2016) it was being operated as a *dispersed hotel.* Hotel operators in Italy are allowed to utilize nearby apartments to supplement the main hotel. We actually stayed in one of the apartments.

We stayed at Terra dei Limoni in Lido Noto. It is a wonderful b&b with small cabins set in a lemon grove, it it close to the ocean and gets nice breezes. A very relaxing place to stay if you have a car. We loved Nito, Ragusa, Siracusa and Modica, but were glad to be able to return to a cooler spot after the cities.

RS Sicily guidebook is out Spring 2019. Check out Rick’s blog for clips on the filming he and crew just did this Spring 2018 for his TV series.
