My Fiance and I will be spending a week of honeymoon in Sicily. We want to stay in multiple places like Toarmina, Siracusa, and Palermo. Any suggestions on hotels in these areas that are special but affordable? Also, we will be there from the December 20th-27th, any suggestions about what to do for Christmas?

Jessica, post this same question in the tripadvisor.com Sicily forum. "Vagabonda" should be able to give you some great reccs.
Then go out and buy a Lonely Planet guidebook. Any time that I can't get a RS g-book, we use them. Many of their lodging and dining choices are afforadable, and very good!
And look at the hotels that TA readers have recc for those towns......they are sorted by user ratings, and can be sub-sorted by price, etc.
We don't like Palermo because of the petty crime, so we only did day trips into the town. Taormina should be great, and there are some great choices for hotels.
Also check out the Agritourismos on the island. They vary in quality, but some can be a lot of fun.
