Shopping in Milan

Staying at Boscolo Milano, Corso Matteotti 4/6, Milan, 20121 last 2 days of our trip and would like to find a few things to take home.
as we tour the city it would be nice to know the name of a shop or two to visit.

Italian Creche (Nativity) Had a painted plaster set as a child that was made in Italy. Looking for similar and or a carved set that is made in Italy (not China)

Reasonably priced Italian Leather items Belt, shoes, boots, jacket, etc.

Fabric Store - I'm a quilter and would like to shop in an Italian Quilt Shop

Memorable trinkets for grandchildren ages 9, 8 and 5.

Thank you,

Sand;y

The largest creches shop in Milan is in the underground of Libreria San Paolo, on the very back of Duomo. Carved creches usually are made in Val Gardena, Dolomites.

I collect nativities......on our recent trip I passed on a couple of hand made nativities in a charity shop in Florence, the clerk told me they were made on the island of sardina...made from lots of shells and bits of sea weed.....they were very nice but it was day 2 of our trip and I was pretty sure they'd not survived a week in my suitcase and train travel.....anyway, what you are talking about in terms of "carved" sound like a beautiful family heirloom. these were not expensive, and could make a special momento for a grandchild to display in their own room at Christmas time. and I also want to reinforce.....you might not see things again near the end of a trip......I did not see these again on our trip.
