Shopping in Italy

I'm looking for clothing shops or Italian chainstores (but not international chains like H&M or Zara) in Rome, Naples and Salerno for myself and my teenagers. Can anyone recommend a particular shop or a good shopping district in any of these cities?

I love scarves, sweaters, shoes and bags, but I am NOT looking for designer duds - just interesting things that are practical, wearable souvenirs!

Thanks for your advice.

Hi,

Take a look at this popular store "Coin" https://www.romeloft.com/pointofinterest/rome-coin-store/

https://en.coin.it/ (translate it to "ENG" at top of page)

All the very, high end stores are on Via Condotti, Roma so you don't want those.
[Via Condotti is a center of fashion shopping in Rome. Dior, Gucci, Valentino, Hermès, Armani, Jimmy Choo, La Perla, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Furla, Burberry, Céline, Dolce & Gabbana, Max Mara, Alberta Ferretti, Trussardi, Buccellati, Bulgari, Damiani, Tod's, Zegna, Cartier, Bally, Montblanc, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton have stores on Via Condotti. Others, such as Laura Biagiotti, have their offices there.]

Also, la Rinascente https://www.rinascente.it/rinascente/en/ (high end)

Check out COIN, a department store with mid-price goods. Several Rome locations including Termini and Via Cola di Rienzo.

Hahaha I love that both people said Coin....there is one in Salerno.....but I would just walk along the corso starting at the train station and move towards the historic center, there are plenty of places :) though that multi story Benetton is amazing haha

Thank you for the info on that jewelry store! I will just leave my husband in the bookstore and wander through, not buying anything, of course...

Another shop you and your teens may like is ‘Tezenis’, where you’ll find cute underwear, tank tops, T-shirts, pjs and such.

Enjoy!

Priscilla, thanks for the Tezenis recommendation! Turns our there's one right near where we'll be staying and we always need these kinds of things...

My wife always likes to check out scarves, handbags, shoes and such along Via del Coronari in Rome. No big name stores, but several small shops along this pedestrain street that's just across the river from Castel Sant Angelo.

You made our day with your information about Alkemia. My sister is a ring-girl and she was very excited when I sent her the link to their site. The bad, bad, bad, bad news is that it's only a few blocks from our hotel. I love bring unique jewelry back from holidays. It always has nice memories associated with it and packs well! That shop seemed reasonable and had interesting items. It's on our list now.

CT, I love that shop so I'm really happy to spread the word! Hope you find something nice when you're there.
