Shipping a bag in Italy?

I'm hopping over to Malta for two days from Lamezia, returning to Catania, Sicily. I'd prefer not to take my large carry-on aboard a discount carrier. Any suggestions for sending it across the strait inexpensively?

Drop inexpensive from your vocabulary 'cause that doesn't apply. Ship it ahead to your hotel in Catania. Any of the express services will handle it. Notify the hotel to expect it.
