Considering a shared Water taxi vs. Alilaguna or Bus/ Vaporetto to avoid transfers, crowds and enjoy the ride. Is the 130 Eu price quoted for the BOAT no matter the number of passengers (up to the 6 or 10 depending on the boat) or is that 130 the price per PASSENGER?
If it's for the boat, might be better to wait to purchase with cash once at the dock to making splitting cost with other passengers easier.
Wondering what wait times are typically for a 16:55 flight arrival (hopefully not delayed!)
Usual cost for shared water taxi is about 30 euros per person
You don’t need to book in advance
Book at the airport when you arrive
Exactly what ChristineH said. I think the longest wait time we’ve had (while they gather a few more for the shared water taxi) is about 15 minutes, if not less. You’ll find the water taxi desk at the far end of the large arrival hall…close to rental car desks, I believe.
Thank you. Just want to confirm this isn't the Alilaguna boat but a shared water taxi? I ask because when attempting to book two seats online at www.motoscafivenezia.com I get a quote for 150Eu!
It’s a water taxi
Don’t book online, just book at the airport desk when you arrive
That link is the official water taxi site but I don’t think you can even book shared taxis with them
hey hey Catmando
the price of a private water taxi maybe a little more than 130E for the boat, not per passenger.
shared private water taxi is about 35-40E per person, reserve online with minimum 2 people.

under shuttle, click "buy now" to get information about it. click water taxi, click "buy now" to read about water they expect
how many people, what is the date, on right side you can type in your info and the price will come up.
make sure about festivals happening, especially regattas on the grand canal.
we have used the private water taxis from airport 4 times which was fabulous. luggage on baord and great way to arrive into venice, they help take luggage off, gets as close to your "station near hotel", no pulling/pushing heavy luggage over bridges/stairs/steps, cobblestones/uneven pavement. so so worth it without stress. good luck and enjoy
