I'm working on logistics for a 4 day/3 night trip to Cinque Terre from Milan in August. I want to downsize my luggage for the CT stay - are there luggage storage options at Milano Centrale?
I will spend my last night in Milan before departing back to the US and would also appreciate advice on whether it's better to stay in a hotel near the Centrale and take the express train to Malpensa airport the day of departure or to stay closer to the airport. Thanks!

Yes there’s left luggage service at Milano Centrale.
Here’s another option, and this is what we did; contact the hotel in Milan where you plan to stay and they may be able to keep your luggage while you visit the CT.
We stayed in a hotel near Cadorna station (closer to the historic center than Milano Centrale) and took the Malpensa Express to Malpensa the morning of our flight.
What time is your flight?
If you have a very early morning flight then staying at an airport hotel may be wise, otherwise stay in Milan and enjoy your afternoon/ evening visiting some of the sites.

Leaving your bags for four days will add up. There is a new service near the train station and a lot cheaper.
A couple of good hotels near Centrale are Hotel Berna and Hotel Garda. I would never stay near the airport when I could stay in town.
Thanks for the advice everybody - I was searching for hotels in central Milan and came across NYX Milan - any feedback? I will check out the others recommended as well. Thanks for the suggestion about luggage storage at hotel!
In the city or near MXP, really depends on how early your flight is.
As you plans to spend 3 nights in CT, just how much baggage do you plan to have that you need to leave some of it behind?
