I'll be in Florence from 13th to 17th Oct...and was considering going for the Fiorentina - Udenise Football (Soccer) game at the Artemio Franchi stadium (watching a serie A football game live has been a lifelong dream)....any one with experience of the same in the Florence stadium? Best site to get tickets ?
However you can find those tickets the day before. I am sure that match will not sell out. Udinese is not Juventus although the jerseys look the same. Also my Fiorentina didn't have a good start this season.
You can buy tickets at these ticket sale points in town:

The closest to the city center is at the Mercato Centrale of San Lorenzo.
Each purchaser will need to show an original government issued photo ID (photocopies are not valid) to purchase a ticket and to enter the stadium. In your case, if you don't have an ID issued by a EU government, you need your passport. Due to security and anti hooliganism laws enacted in 2009 and prior, entering a soccer stadium is like boarding an airplane nowadays.
The local fans are in the Fiesole Curve. Guest fans stay in the Curva Ferrovia (curve nearer to railway/Campo di Marte station).
Tribuna is the covered stands. It's the most expensive sector, but if it rains, you are better off there. Maratona is opposite to Tribuna.
Violet purple is the Fiorentina colors.
The Udinese colors are the same as Juventus. Black and white (that's why they are called zebras. While in Florence, Avoid wearing anything that might resemble zebras. You don't want to give Florentines suspicion that you are a Juventus fan.
I attended the match with Cagliari in March and bought my ticket about a week in advance at the Central Market. My seat was in the Maratona section (MAD I believe), almost on the midfield line. Luckily it was a sunny day. You must walk around the stadium in a clockwise direction to reach the Maratona section, as the shorter counter-clockwise route is blocked off on game days. Should you wish to purchase something violet to wear to the match, best center city option is the official Fiorentina store on Borgo San Lorenzo. The official store across from the stadium has discounted merchandise not available at the center city store, and I purchased a really nice pullover there for half price. The savings more than payed for the bus ticket and it gave me a chance to check out the stadium without the game day crowds. For a really good and inexpensive sandwich, stop at Scheggi on Viale dei Mille just before the stadium. Pick your meat and then a sauce, or ask them to recommend the best sauce to go with that meat.
Edit: Just remembered 2 center city sporting goods stores that sell some official Fiorentina gear and sometimes have a few discounted items, Universo Sport on the left side of the Duomo and Galleria dello Sport a block away on Via Ricasoli.
